:: Mad About Something ::
The tail end of one episode of Mad About You features the Buchmans watching something on television. Both express amazement at what they're watching, but for different reasons. Jamie (Helen Hunt) is amazed by a plot twist - the fact that the characters in the show, mother and daughter, have neot met in 35 years and have reunited after all this time. Paul (Paul Reiser), on the other hand, is amazed by the fact that the whole 20-minute scene was a done in a single shot. Both are amazed at each other - neither can figure out what the other finds amazing.

I caught this segment recently, and I've been unable to get it out of my head. I'm really not sure why... it's just stuck on me. Part of it is the simple fact that it highlights some differences between men and women. Of course, I could also cite my experience with producing AVPs and digital films. Neither one seems compelling enough for this short clip to stick to me though.

Maybe I'm just trying to distract myself.

Does anybody have any ideas?
