I can't believe I never blogged about this!
Last Saturday, I acted in a movie for some friends in film school. It was a silent 1-minute black-and-white short, and it was shot somewhere along Tomas Morato over a span of 3 hours. Without giving away the whole (very short) story, the film deals with a shy guy's fantasies or daydreams, specifically those directed towards a member of the opposite sex.
I've asked the producers of the film to never show me the film... even if I beg them to do so. I'm still embarrassed just thinking about it.
Anyway, I mentioned something two weeks ago about doing a shoot for a magazine and some voice acting for an animated short, but I didn't provide details. I will do so now.
First off, the recording. Well... it was fun. We didn't have the high-end equipment used in real recording studios, but the fun wasn't in playing with toys, but in playing with my voice. I ended up doing only one voice, but it was very, very far from my normal speaking voice. I can't wait to see the final animation.
On to the shoot... I did the shoot at the request of a friend of mine who interviewed me for an article she was writing. Out of fear that my friends will actively seek out the said article, I won't mention what publication the shoot was for. All I will say now is that it was strange being on the other side of the lens. I just bluffed my way through the shoot by chatting with the photographer almost incessantly, and laughing a lot. Basically, I got a strong dose of my own medicine - I'll be glad to be behind the camera again.
On that note, I got a chance to play around on the other side of lens. A few days ago, I got my hands on a Canon EOS 300d during a small concert of sorts. In the span of roughly 3 hours, I took just over 300 snaps, 111 of which I escaped instant deletion. I have yet to decide how many of them I'll keep, but that can wait. In the meantime, some of my photos from the event can be found in one of my previous posts.
Showbiz... there's nothing quite like it.
