If it isn't obvious now, it will be once you start reading on - I'm bored.
I've decided to make an inventory of the gadgets I own. Basically, I want to list down the little toys, knick knacks, doodads, gizmos, thingamajigs, and other watchamacallits I own.
Today, I'm going through the gadgets that I have on me now... basically the ones I carry around with me pretty much all the time. I carry a significant number of items on me, so this means I carry a bag most of the time... that or I have several pockets in all of my clothes. My pack of choice now is an Adidas sling back that looks something like this, but is probably quite a bit smaller. Attached to it are a pouch for a phone and three carabiners.
On a side note, I now want the bag pictured in the link.
Obviously, if I keep a pouch for phones on my bag, I have a phone. It is a Ericsson T68, upgraded to a T68i. Thing is, I have another, which I rarely use now - a Nokia 6100. This is stored in a pocket beside my battered Palm Tungsten T, which is enclosed in an even more battered aluminum case. Also in the same pocket is my thumb drive, laser pointer, as well as a key fob.
On the outside A look inside the main pocket reveals other, non-electronic gadgets. In a black case is a pair of sunglasses with interchangeable lenses. In a smaller blue case is a multi-tool roughly the size of the Leatherman Micra. In an inner pocket, a generic utility knife - a knock-off of the Victorinox Climber.
On another side note, I would ditch these two tools if I could get a Leatherman CS4, or a combination of the Victorinox Nomad and a decent multi-tool.
Of course, the highlights (pun uninteded) of my bag of goodies are the flashlights, torches, or whatever you want to call them. Up front on a makeshift holster on the strap of my pack is an aluminum 8-LED light. Powered by a single AA battery, this serves as my everyday light. Inside is my SureFire G2 Nitrolon, a really useful tool to temporarily blind people.
I've got other stuff in my pack, sure, but they don't really qualify as gadgets, so I guess I won't be listing them down here.
That's it. I'm off.
